The Paladin is a fairly simple and straightforward Protectorate combat solo. On its own, a Paladin brings an extremely high MAT, decent threat range, very high P+S weapon master attack and a single defensive ability to get it up the table. In conjunction with High Paladin Dartan Vilmon and his Elite Cadre, the solo gains a new dimension of options and flexibility. So... how do we Paladin?
As many of you know I've been trying to gear up to use the Old Witch as one of my Champions and Masters Pairs. I've been running a really weird list, but feel like I've learned a lot. I'm just over 25 games in, and I thought we could take a few minutes today, go over what I've learned. And see if you guys are having similar results. Here's a list pretty close to what I ran for all my testing games.
Well, I managed to sneak a 75 point game on Spread the Net vs Rory's Gastone Crosse 2 at Atomic Games West. I'm using a weird Old Witch 3 build. Rory is a great local player, and possibly the best list maker I know. I'm trying to practice for Champions and haven't had a chance to see Gastone till today.
There's no piece more foundational and basic to the way the Protectorate functions in battle than the Choir of Menoth, a piece more ubiquitous to Protectorate list design than perhaps any model in any faction.
